From The Paddock - Inglis Easter Yearling Sale Preview

Final Easter Preparations

With the Inglis Easter sales just under two weeks away, the yearling crew are putting the final touches on our draft of 6 colts and 9 Fillies. With plenty of inspections carried out this week, the hype surrounding this year’s draft is building to what should be a successful sale from the 4th to the 6th of April.

Kitchwin Manager Mick Malone is excited to get into the ring at Newmarket with what he believes is one of Kitchwin’s strongest drafts. “The feedback this year has been unbelievable, we’ve got plenty of interest across the draft and now it’s just a matter of getting them to Sydney and seeing what the market does”.

Some highlights of the upcoming Easter draft include:

Lot 137- Snitzel x Fiesole Filly, (pictured above) bred on the same cross of Snitzel/Fraar which of course produced the Group 1 winner Snitzerland, as well as the soon to be Kitchwin resident Group 3 winner Sooboog.

Lot 151- Snitzel x Gallant Tess Filly, from the multiple Group 2 winning mare, who herself has already produced ROCK HERO as a Stakes winner. This strong black type pedigree provides this striking chestnut filly with huge residual value.

Lot 382- All Too Hard x Sworn to Secrecy Colt, out of the Group 2 Emancipation Stakes winning mare (at her final start). Both foals to race have been winners, with So Willie returning $220,000 for connections.

To view the entire draft, check out our yearling website to find full pedigrees, foaling records and Mick’s comments on each lot.
